SCW've

I should've studied hard and be an astronaut
I could've become an athlete if I were to trained hard
I would've been a millionaire if I didn't waste my youth

I should've played my guitar loudly and be a rock star
I could've become a scientist if I didn't skip school
I would've been abroad if I didn't have this rope that tie me

I should've concentrated on drawing and be an artist
I could've created my own comic if I were diligent enough
I would've been somewhere else but here

Should've, could've, would've....
Let's stop for a while
Take a deep breathe
Take a look around

All those Should've, could've, would've are just dreams
Dreams that never made it to reality
Why should I dream for the realty is right in front of me

I would'nt trade this life for any other kind
I love it
Though it is far from perfect
I am living my dream

Right here
right now

Solat musafir

  • Sometimes when I am travelling, I got confused on how to perform my Solat.
  • Therefore, I would like to share this with others who travel a lot.
  • May Allah swt grant us strength and opportunity to perform solat whenever we are.

Akhirnya indah

  • This song goes out to my beautiful wife and my little princess.

Tujuh hari dalam seminggu kita tidak bertemu
Harap jumpa di akhir pekan Terhalang kesibukan
Aku rindu

Hanya telfon dan smsan yang bisa dilakukan
Ingin engkau ada disini
Kita habiskan waktu berdua

Oh
Pastikan kita tak lelah
Dan percayalah semuakan indah
Semuakan indah akhirnya

Tujuh hari dalam seminggu kita tidak bertemu
Ingin engkau ada disini
Kita habiskan waktu berdua

Oh
Pastikan kita tak lelah
Dan percayalah semuakan indah
Semuakan indah akhirnya

Pastikan kita tak lelah
Dan percayalah semuakan indah
Semuakan indah akhirnya
Semuakan indah Semuakan indah
Akhirnya

2014

  • 2014 is closing its curtain soon. Another year is coming to an end. Soon the dawn of 2015 will arrive upon us. Here are some reflection for 2014.
  • Lesson is learned aplenty this year. For a start I became a father in February. It was a whole new lesson & experience for me. Being a father is hard but it is far from boring. I am loving every second of my life being a father.
  • In addition, I learned to be an adult. I bought a house. I paid bills. I talked to lawyers, bankers and other people. However, no matter how many adult things I did, I still think I am just a kid.
  • The biggest lesson would be to appreciate the small things in life. For instances, time you spend with your family, delicious food on your table, petrol in your car tank, and even a nice quiet walk in the evening. I start to see the world differently and I tend to appreciate things that I neglected as teenager.
  • Though some part of it was full with tragedies, I would like to remember 2014 for the year I became an adult.
  • See you next year. Please enjoy the video.

Cheras

Cheras,
A city so big, it stretches from Selangor to Kuala Lumpur

This is where I learned to live,
A place of laughter, tears, rewards and punishment.

My eyes are wide open, to see this beautiful city,
It is the same city physically, but somehow its soul has changed.

Cheras,
It's great to see you
Keep on blooming,
My dear city.

Being a father

  • My father is a generous man. Sometimes beyond his means.
  • As a child, I saw my father as a quiet and responsible man. He didn't talk a lot.
  • Although he was not as talkative as Ibu, he was far from boring.
  • He had his own way of interacting with us, the kids, and making us happy.
  • A thing that always stick in my mind is how he always came up with surprises.
  • One night, he came back home and brought along a Playstation. My brothers and I just could not believe our eyes. That night, we didn't sleep all night thinking of the prospect of playing the video game the next day.
  • When I was in university, my father once again surprised me by taking me to Pertama Complex and bought me a handphone.
  • I chose the latest sony-ericsson handphone. It came with walkman capability. I was a proud moment for me.
  • Now that I have beco
me a father, I truly understand the love of my father towards me and my other siblings.
  • I hope I can emulate him as a father for I want to give the very best for my daughter.
  • Thank you Ayah.

Songs

"Local" musical genius

  • I like listening to songs. I can say it is one of my hobbies.
  • When I was young, my computer was turned on 24/7
  • Nowadays, car is the only place where I can listen to songs attentively.
  • In my teenage days, the furious, beats and "teenage spirits" were the main elements that influenced my choice of songs.
  • As teenage year eclipsed me, I started to look at songs in a different perspective.
  • For instance, M.Nasir - Anak-anak kita. I always thought the song as just a plain and simple reminder for parents.
  • But as I listen to it as an adult, I started to feel it is more than that. I has this rebellious flavor in it even the song is not really presented in a furious or upbeat manner.
  • It talks more than just to take care of our kids. Anak - anak in  the song means the young generation. People who are next in line to govern take care of the country.
  • At the end of the song, M Nasir asks plenty of rhetorical question that make anybody who listen to it carefully falls into a deep thinking mode.
  • All of this makes me appreciate a song more. Rather just an outlet to entertain me, I see songs as something meaningful. However, it is worth noted that  not all songs fall into this category.
  • As one grows older, one will become wiser. Listening to the same song with different perspective is one of the many examples to back up the claim.
  • It is time to dig up my old playlist and re-listen to every song tha t used to stuck in my head.
  • Maybe I can learn a thing or two from it.
Fikir
Selamatkah kita di tangan tukang karut itu
Fikir
Selamatkah kita di tangan dalang wayang itu
Fikir
Selamatkah kita di tangan ahli koporat itu
Fikir
Selamatkah kita di tangan doktor jiwa itu
Fikir
Selamatkah kita di tangan pakar kitab itu
Fikir
Selamatkah kita di tangan tuhan-tuhan itu

Random entry

  • Sometimes it is good to be single minded. Driving through one path way. Never going to make any turn.
  • But where it seems plausible, it is often quite impossible. How could you ignore a soft cry that break the brick of silence?
  • Thus as humans, we must come to term with this limitation. At times our mind takes more than what it can bare. We just have to learn how to live with it.
  • Conclusively, being single minded only exist in our mind. It is as impossible as having a peaceful and harmony global nations around the globe. The not so -inconvenience truth.

2014 shopping list

  • I welcome February with open arms.
  • It marks the end of my busy period. It's not that I will be free and easy all February, it's just that I am less busy compared to January. I should not be too worry because as the saying goes "works will never end".
  • I think I should engage my mind with something that help me to ease my stress from work. Therefore I turn to shopping.
  • So, after some serious thought, here are the top 3 things in my personal shopping list.
  • Bicycle. - I have to admit that I regret to have sold my bicycle. It was a good servant to me. Now I miss cycling again. Therefore I need a new bicycle. I may not have the economic strength to but a Specialzed, but a Merida or Scott would be nice.

  • I need a new set of wheel. Being a frequent traveler, tire is essential to me. My current set is one-year-old and it won't be long before it goes past its shelf life.My personal choice of course Continental CC5. Affordable and reliable.

  • Being a technology enthusiast, it's hard for me to resist the temptation of having the newest smartphone in the market. Currently I am eyeing Nokia Lumia. It's a change of wind I shall say. There is nothing wrong with my current phone, but being the geek I am, I have sleepless night thinking about this. Haha.
So, I hope by the end of 2014, all of my wish list will be achieved. Here is for a good year ahead of us. Adios!

Ayah dan ibu

  • People always say when you become older, you will become wiser. That is what happening to me right now. Nowadays I tend to see the world differently. What might look ordinary to some people, might be seen as something meaningful to me.
  • One thing that really obvious lately is that I started to really appreciate Ayah and Ibu. Dont get me wrong, all this while I love them very much. Its just that as I grow older I started to realize how much my parents had sacrifice and spend for me and my siblings.
  • When I was a naive little kid I always took my parents for granted. I did what I want to do and always force my way to get something that I wanted. Same goes when I was a young and healthy teenager. For all I know that whenever I'm in trouble, my parents will always be there to bail me out. Usually my parents help me in term of financial.
  • But it all changed in 2008. Suddenly I realize that it is not easy to earn money. It takes lots of hard work, sweat and tears. There and then I realize that all this while I have burden my parents financially. Still they raise me up with lots of love without uttering a single word of complaint.
  • At that time I also started to recall back my past memories. I started to understand the things that Ayah and Ibu did. Only now I know the reason why ayah and ibu didn't order something for themselves whenever we ate at a restaurant. Ibu always said "Takpe. Korang makan la. Ayah, Ibu kenyang lagi". I also remember when I was a little boy Ibu will always cook something and bring it to the office. They did all these just to save up money for the family.
  • Oh my, thinking about this really makes me all emotional. Ayah, Ibu thanks a lot for everything. I know whatever I do, I still cant repay all your deeds for me and the family.
  • I promise to be a good son for you. I will.
  • I love you.

October

This is the month of joy and happiness. I am as happy as a little boy in a candy store (or perhaps video game store). Long awaited changes have finally arrived. I feel blessed and content.

Olympics

  • At just 19, Pandalela Rinong is the first Malaysian women to ever win a medal in the Olympic.
  • That is very impressive. She must have started his diving career very early.
  • I wonder what it feels like to devote yourself to something that you love at such a tender age.
  • When I was 19, I dont event have something that I truly love. Sometimes I have to say that I had wasted my teenager life doing nothing.
  • At 26 I am still trying to find something that I love. Maybe I will find it. Maybe I will die not ever knowing about it.
  • Life is a mystery and I love it.
P/s - I love my fiance.

Im in Philadelphia

  • This is my second week here. It get to know that the nick name of this campus is UiTM Philadelphia. I guess this is some sort of escapism by previous students who cant believe that their campus is in the middle of nowhere. Haha.
  • Anyhow life here is Ok. But I believe in few months time it will be great. Insya Allah.
  • The air here is always fresh. This is due to the trees around the campus. The campus is literally in between mountains. I can breathe easily and calmly around here especially in the early morning. I love it.
  • I made some new friends. As any campus, the number of female species is far greater than the male. I already used to this kind of environment. Plus having female friends can give me a lot of benefits especially when it comes to work. LOL
  • Besides Philadelphia, I also have to travel to another campus, Melang. Melang is the old campus of UiTM Negeri Sembilan. It is a very small and modest campus compare to Philadelphia.
  • So far I like my new 'home'.
p/s- Do you know about Melang Ghetto Bhois?

Teach and learn

  • I am a teacher. Teaching is my job. I have been doing this job for about two years now.
  • Like any other job this profession has its ups and downs.
  • Everyday I have to deal with people with various personality. I have to interact with them, I have to teach them, I have to 'satisfy' them. It is not an easy task.
  • Despite all the setback, I find this job rewarding as it fulfil my inner need to serve and give something to the community. I would like to be a handy citizen.
  • However, the most interesting thing I find about my job is, I am learning something new everyday. I learn and teach at the same time. It is good to keep myself updated with new information and knowledge.
  • Ergo, I believe that teaching is a great profession and it is rewarding to those who love to share knowledge and do something for other people.

In my two and a half years time in teaching field, I learned a lot from the surrounding, experience and myself. 1. Put on the shirt and pants.
  2. Be responsible.
  3. Summon the motivation to teach and educate
  4. Sprinkle the positive attitude before going to classes
  5. Bring along the basket of lesson plan to classes.
